what your heart can do

Second Harvest

It started with a schoolgirl’s kindness to a homeless man huddled against the cold over a sewer grate. Dozens of donated blankets, gloves and socks later, Angels of Mercy is a group of young people devoted to helping the homeless in our city.

Their heartfelt impulse to help others in need inspired Daniels’ President Mitchell Cohen to compose the song Angels of Mercy which is sung by the renowned Jackie Richardson along with the Regent Park School of Music Choir.

The Daniels Corporation is donating this inspirational song to Second Harvest who are using it to raise funds to help win the fight against hunger.

Supporting Second Harvest is a labour of love for Daniels, because we share Second Harvest's vision that no one need ever go hungry in the communities we serve.

For a minimum donation of $10.00 you will be able to download the musical tribute Angels of Mercy. All proceeds go to Second Harvest. Donate today! Give generously.

About Second Harvest

Every day Second Harvest picks up donated, high quality fresh food, which would otherwise have gone to waste, and delivers that food to approximately 250 social service programs across the GTA. Second Harvest currently provides enough food for over 15,000 meals a day to children in after-school programs, seniors on fixed incomes, women fleeing domestic abuse, psychiatric patients, homeless people and many others who have fallen on hard times.
