A stable, affordable place to live is the primary building block from which all Canadians have a chance to realize their potential and make a positive contribution to their community and country. When it comes to providing a roof over people’s heads, Daniels and Habitat for Humanity Toronto have a real synergy going.
Habitat for Humanity Toronto builds simple, decent and affordable homes for low-income families. In Etobicoke, Daniels donated land to be used for the construction of 10 Habitat for Humanity Toronto homes, which represents the single-largest donation of land by a private company in Habitat Canada’s history.
Daniels’ President Mitchell Cohen composed Many Hands as a way to thank Habitat volunteers for coming together to build homes and futures. Many Hands is performed by several prominent Toronto musicians including the renowned Jackie Richardson, Andrew Craig and the Faith Chorale Choir.
The Daniels Corporation has donated this soul-filled song to Habitat for Humanity Toronto, who are using it as a fundraising tool to help continue their mission of ensuring everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
For a minimum donation of $10.00 you will be able to download the musical tribute Many Hands. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity Toronto. Donate today! Give generously.
Established in 1988, Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization. We welcome all people without discrimination to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families. One hundred per cent of all administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of two Restores. Habitat Restores sell quality new and used donated building materials. Every 24 minutes, Habitat for Humanity starts construction on a new home somewhere in the world.
